Fiona Robyn Ingram (born in Durban, South Africa) is a bestselling, award-winning children’s author whose passion for storytelling spans ancient myths, archaeology, and daring adventures. With a B.A. (French & Drama) and Honours in Drama from the University of Natal—followed by an M.A. cum laude in French-African Literature from the University of the Witwatersrand—Fiona began her career in theatre and journalism before turning full‑time to writing middle‑grade fiction.
She first gained acclaim with The Secret of the Sacred Scarab (2008), inspired by a family trip to Egypt. Originally a bedtime tale for her nephews, it evolved into the first volume of The Chronicles of the Stone series, featuring young cousins on archaeological treasure hunts.
